GENERAL RULES & REQUIREMENTS
 
All MST-2 & EZ RIDERS buses are equipped with bike racks.  The bike racks are located on the front bumper of the bus and are capable of accommodating two bikes at a time.  No additional fare is required.  The bike racks are available to all YCAT passengers.

Bike racks are available on a first-come, first-served basis.  No bikes will be allowed inside buses.

Riders are responsible for loading, securing and unloading their bikes in a safe and timely manner.  First bike placed on rack must be in slot nearest to the bus.

No motorized bikes will be allowed.

Bike trailers are not permitted on bike racks or inside buses

Riders must secure their bikes in the bike racks.  Support arms are provided and must be used to hold the bike in place during travel.  No other devices may be used to secure bikes to rack.  Bikes which cannot be secured to the driver's satisfaction shall be removed.

YCAT may at any time alter the rules and conditions of the Bike on Bus program.

At the discretion of YCAT personnel, passengers not adhering to these regulations may be refused service.

Riders who cannot secure their bikes on the rack within 30 seconds shall remove their bike from the bus.  Bike loading must not delay the bus on schedule.
 
     
     
RESPONSABILITY
Bike racks are provided as a convenience to bus riders.  YCAT, will not be responsible for: the theft or loss of bikes; damages incurred to bikes while on the transit system or at a bus stop; damages to bikes during loading or unloading; or injury to the rider during loading or unloading a bike.
Riders will be responsible for any damages or injuries to third parties caused by the rider or bike while loading or unloading the bike, or failing to secure the bike on the rack correctly.
 
Safety Tips When Using YCAT Bikes on Buses (Bicycle Racks)
 
• Wait for the bus on the curb.
• Get the drivers attention before you load or unload your bike.
• Always load from the curbside of the street.
• Place your bike in the outside slot of the bike rack if empty.
• Be visible to the driver.
• Sit up front and keep an eye on your bike.
• Use the front door when exiting.
• Move the empty rack into the upright position.
• Do not lock your bike to the rack.
• Do not leave equipment on the bike.
• Immediately call (928) 783-2235 for lost or forgotten bikes. Be prepared to give the bus and route number, if possible.
 
LOADING YOUR BIKE

Squeeze handle to lower rack.

 
Load Your Bike in an empty slot.
 
Raise the support arm up and over the front tire.
 
UNLOADING YOUR BIKE
 

 
Raise the support arm up and off the tire.
 
Lift your bike out of the rack.
 
If there are no other bikes loaded, squeeze the handle and lift the rack to its upright position.
